Role summary:


Our Hastings, NE, USA Pump Manufacturing facilities provide the capability for engineering, design, customer service, casting, machining, assembly and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves the agricultural, water resource, general industry, and chemical markets. The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.

The primary function of this position is to keep the design of certain products under the international Standards and according to our own internal processes, particularly for ESP product line. A product line production which has been recently moved into a new facility and being engineering done now by GI-Verticals group.

As secondary function of this position, acting as Technical Data Engineer, is to provide additional support on order processing, starting from creating Bill of Materials (BOM) for each order/creating new drawings and managing support from Supply Chain to Operations through to the shipment.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing technical assistance into those products in house or in contact with the clients at field or at their premises.

  • Responsible for the definition and execution of R&D projects to develop the product and adapt it to the necessities driven by the market.

  • Lead an ongoing effort to continuously improve engineering productivity and reduce cycle times through a focus on engineering process improvement, workflow automation and effective use of engineering tools.

  • Provide technical support to departmental team members as well as to team members across the order process chain.

  • Mitigate issues related to new equipment, sometimes within a very tight timeline, for Operations.

  • Partner closely with an international group of team members as well as work autonomously at times to support the identified products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field

  • Ability to successfully work in a team oriented and Continuous Improvement environment

  • Demonstrated problem solving capability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven organizational skills including attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, even where conflicting priorities may exist

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • English language proficiency

Preferred skills:

  • Prior experience in Product Design, Product development, Bills of Materials, Application Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing or relative experience

  • Working knowledge of Solid Works /Draftsight/Windchill (OEPDMS/PLM)

  • 3-5 years prior experience with hydraulic pump testing, centrifugal pump design, systems design, or project engineering

  • Understanding of industry standards such as HI/ API/Nuclear/ASTM/ASME

  • Prior experience with structural, rotor dynamic analysis /Finite Element Analysis

  • ERP knowledge.
